About the Writer

If you've been to the writing info page on this site, then you already know a bit about Anne's current writing obsession (*cough* vampires *cough*). Here's additional random info to enlighten and entertain.

    Where ya from?

Well, Earth obviously, from the body of a 20-something Irish-Catholic female who met, fell in love with and married a young Irish-Italian-Catholic guy who was in the Air Force. Oh, wait, you mean where did I live. Right. I grew up in the Illinois corn fields (no, not literally, although one of my brothers did shuck a lot of corn for cash a few summers).

    Where are you now?

Still on Earth, in San Francisco.

What was on your bookshelf when you were a kid?

Little House on the Prairie, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, ceramic princess figurines, and then Tiger Beat magazine, Asimov's Hugo Winners, Stephen King, Anne Rice, a bunch of stuff I can't remember, and comics, tons and tons of comics, and not the girlie ones, but action: X-men, Spiderman, Batman, Silver Surfer, Superman, Justice League, to name a few. Not that you asked, but I really, really wanted to be Storm when I grew up.

    What's on your bookshelf now?

So many shelves, in the house...Let's do bedroom...currently, Laurell K. Hamilton, Christopher Moore, Philip K. Dick, Haruki Murakami, Neil Gaiman, Drama In the Desert, Lighthouse, a bunch of graphic novels including Kabuki, Watchmen, Promethea, and Astonishing X-Men, one Polly Pocket, Private K-8 Schools of San Francisco & Marin, SF School District Enrollment Guide, and a pink sock size 12-24 months.

How about a few last words?

Sure, Joss Whedon, Joss Whedon, Joss Whedon.
